SUB: Gangasagar Mela Service Camp - 2013.

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are happy to inform you that a National level Service Camp will be organized at State Training Centre, Bharat Scouts & Guides, West Bengal State, Ganganagar Scouts Guides Campsite P.O. Ganganagar, Dist. 24 Parganas (S) from 10^th to 16^th January 2013 on the occasion of Gangasagar Mela 2013. Every year during the time of Makar Sankranti, a large number of Pilgrims will come to Kolkata from all over the Country.

Details of this event are given below:-

Name of the Event	:	Gangasagar Mela Service Camp - 2013
Dates	:	10th to 16th January 2013 (7 Days)
Venue	:	Base Camp:- State Training Centre, Bharat Scouts & Guides, West Bengal State, Ganganagar Scout Campsite P.O. Ganganagar, Dist. 24 Parganas (S)   From Base Camp all Rovers will go to Sagar Island by Bus & Boat on 11th January 2013 morning. It will take 6 to 8 hours journey from Kolkata.
Who can attend	:	Rovers having Nipun qualification and between the age of 17 to 25 years.
Quota	:
Fee	:	Rs.50/- from each Rover as Development Fee. Rs.30/- from each Rover as Special Fee. Total- Rs.80/- from each Rover.
Date of Reporting	:	10th January 2013 before Lunch at Base Camp
Date of Departure	:	16th January 2013 after Lunch from Ganga Sagar Island.
How to Reach	:	1) From Howrah- board Bus No. L-238, get down at Doltala Bus Stop. From Doltala, camp site is just a walkable distance. 2) From Sealdah- board any bus going towards Madhamgram or Barasat, get down at Doltala Bus Stop. From Doltala, camp site is just a walkable distance 3) From Sealdah to Madhyamgram local trains are also available in every ½ hours. From Madhyamgram catch any local bus and get down at Ganganagar Camp site/ Doltala Bus Stop
What to Bring	:	At Gangasagar Mela, Sagar Island temporary accommodation will be provided for our Rovers. Warm bedding is requiring as the weather will be cold. For Identity Card One Stamp size photograph in uniform must bring by the Rovers. Two sets of correct and complete uniform as per APRO Part-II, Track Suit, Warm beddings, Sleeping Bag, Torch, Water Bottle, Rope, Plate, Mug, Spoon, Writing Materials, Sweater/Jacket, First Aid Kit, Utensils, etc.
Financial Assistance	:	Actual Bus Fare and 2nd Sleeper Class Concessional Train Fare will be reimbursed by the National Headquarters on production of photocopy of train tickets and Bus tickets in original. Bus fare will be paid for the route where there are no train services. No Luxury bus/AC Bus fare will be reimbursed.
