Sub:-Registration of BS&G,“P.M.Shield”Competition(PMSC) 2010-11.

Sir/ Madam,

Please refer the Minutes of the Annual Meeting of KVS State Association of BS&G -2010 held on 10-07-2010 at KVS (Hqrs) New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Honourable Commissioner KVS Shri Sh Avinash Dikshit, for implementation and assessment of the BS&G work in KVs during 2010-11.

I may please invite your kind attention toward the item No.4, Point No. 3, which is reproduced as under:-

”It was also agreed that every school should register at least one unit of Scout / Gide for Prime Minister Shield Competition.”

In this regard, I hope that in your Region it is implemented so that our Scouts and Guides may have practical experience of Community Development Work, may complete one requirement for Rashtrapati Award Test and moreover our Teachers may also become eligible for HWB Course.

You are requested to invite month wise progress report in enclosed Annexure-PMSC-R, District wise separately for Scout and Guide Section as this competition is among the Units of the District. These reports should be assessed by the ALT/LT attached in RO and a copy of the compliance report is to be forwarded to this office latest by 15^th January’ 2011.

It is also to brought in your notice that some applications with DDs received at this office directly from the KVs/ ROs. All such application are being returned back shortly (but they should continue their work of PMSC and send a fresh application through their RO)

The RO will collect the applications forms from KVs through respective District Commissioner (S/G) and will send a consolidate DD for all participating Units of the Region @ Rs. 10/- per unit, in favour of “The Director, Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi” payable at New Delhi with a list(in Annexure-PMSC-R) and original copy of the forms.

You may take the help of LT/ALT of your Region as they are trained to look into such matters.
