BASIC COURSE FOR SCOUT MASTERS /GUIDE CAPTAINS/CUB MASTERS/FLOCK LEADERS

VENUE: KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NO.1, KOTA

BRIEF REPORT

         Divisional Level Basic Course for Scout Masters/Guide Captains/Cub Masters/Flock Leaders was organized from 03-04-2013 to 09-04-2013 at K.V.No.1,Kota(Rajasthan).31 Scout Masters,14 Guide Captains ,16 Cub Masters and 19 Flock Leaders participated in it.LOCs of the Courses were-

(2)   Mrs. Archana Shrivastava, ALT(G)-LOC(G)

(3)   Mr. Banshidhar Sharma,LT(C),Raj.State –LOC ( C )

(4)   Mrs. Santosh Arya, ALT(F),Raj. State, LOC(F)

Staffs were-

(E) Courses Coordinator- Mr. D. S. Sharma, ALT(S), K.V. MRN, Mathura

           All the Officials reported to the Camp Commandant and Venue Principal, K.V.No.1, Kota in the F/N of 02-04-2013 and took the meeting with him. They took round the camp site and found suitable for the Camp. Participants reported in the A/N of 02-04-2013.Registration was started at 3.00 pm. There was meeting of Officials with the Participants and afterwards G.I. Course was conducted for Scout Masters. All the participants and officials took dinner at 8.00 pm .There was light off at 10.00pm.

          Next day, i.e. on 03-04-2013,there was inaugural ceremony at 9.15 am.  Mr. R. S. Kasera ,Divisional Chief Commissioner, Kota Division, Rajasthan state was the Chief Guest and Mr. Pradeep Chittora was the Guest on this occasion. Camp commandant and venue principal Mr. R. P. Meena welcomed the Chief Guest and other Guests by presenting bouquet and scarf. He also welcomed all the participants of different KVs of Agra Region. Scouts and guides of K.V.No.1,Kota presented a welcome Song and Saraswati Vanadana before the participants under the guidance of Mr. S. S. Gautam, Music Teacher and Adv Cub Master. Mr. R. S. Kasera pointed out the importance of scout/Guide Movement all over the World. He told that it is the largest uniformed Movement in the World. Mr. D.S. Sharma, Camp coordinator presented the Camp Report. Ceremony ended with the vote of thanks given by Mr. Atar Singh, LOC(S).After this, There was refreshment for the Guests and Participants. After refreshment, participants were divided into Patrols/Sixes. Material like Scarf, woggle, notebook ,pen etc was distributed among them. Session was started course wise separately under leadership of their LOCs.

         During the Training, Participants were taught various scouting skills like B.P.Six exercises in the morning, sessions included topics like First –aid, Estimations, mapping, Knotting and lashings, Pioneering, syllabus from Pravesh to Rashtrapati award, PM shield competition, Proficiency badges, Procedure of Registration. How to run Unit ? etc.

Courses were run as per schedule and daily routine decided by LOCs as per SOT

On Sunday i.e. 07-04-2013, Hike was arranged for all four Courses. Hike was started at 7.15 am. Participants visited important and historical places at Kota like Khade Ganesh Temple,Chambal Garden, Divisional office of BS & G Rajasthan State, Abheyra Fort, Karni Mata Temple etc. and back at 1.30 pm. Participants enjoyed a lot. After Lunch, STA was conducted as usual followed by the Session.

           On 08-04-2013, Honorable Assistant Commissioner and Dy. Div. Commissioner, KVS State, Agra Division ,Mrs. Indu Kaushik visited the Camp. She was warmly welcomed by the Camp commandant, officials and participants. She appreciated the way, she was welcomed by the Participants. Later, She addressed the Courses emphasized  the values inculcated through scout Guide activities to the children. She expressed her views about Scout Guide movement and role of Scout master/Guide captain/Cub master/Flock Leader. She also express her sincere thanks to Officials from Rajasthan state, BS&G, and KVS Bhopal region for rendering their service to the Courses. She was the Chief guest of “Bhajan Sandhya” organized in evening to pay tribute to late Shri V.D.Kamle,  Ex-Principal, K.V.Anta.

              On 09-04-2013 at 6.45 am, SARV DHARM PRARTHNA was organized under the Guidance of LOCs and the presence of camp commandant.

Courses were ended with Flag Retreat Ceremony at 3.30 pm.
