Sub:                 NATIONAL LEVEL STANDARD JUDGING CAMP

Dear Sir/Madam,
            We are glad to inform you that a National Level Standard Judging Camp will be held at the Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Youth Complex, Gadpuri, Dist-Palwal, Haryana from 03rd January to 07th January 2013. Other Details of the camp are as follows:

Venue      :    Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Youth Complex, Gadpuri,
District-Palwal, Haryana
How to Reach            : Gadpuri is situated on Delhi- Mathura Road in between Palwal and Ballabhgarh (Just 10 Km. from Ballabhgarh & Palwal) from Faridabad/Ballabhgarh/Palwal/Delhi (Sarai Kale Khan) Buses are available for Palwal, get down at Gadpuri Scout Bus Stand. Auto services are also available from Ballabhgarh and Palwal to get down at Gadpuri Scout Bus Stand.
Who can attend : Patrol Leaders who have completed Tritiya Sopan Badge or above may only    
                                                be ddeputed.
Development Fee : Rs.50/= from each Scout/Guide
                                                Rs.100/= from each Adult Leader
Special Fee : Rs.30/= per head from each participants and Adult Leaders.
  Total Rs. 80/= from each Scouts & Guides and Rs.130/=from each Adult 
            Leaders will be charged at the time of Registration in the camp.
  
Financial Assistance: Actual II Sleeper class Concessional Train Fare and Bus fare will be reimbursed by the National Headquarters on production of photocopy of train tickets and Bus tickets in original. Free hospitality will be provided during the camp days. (No Auto/Taxi fare or Tatkal charges will be reimbursed).
                                               
What to Bring  : Two sets of correct and complete uniform as per APRO Part II/III, toilet requisites, Personal clothing, heavy bedding, warm clothes, writing  materials, note book, personal first aid kit, torch, knotting rope, each patrol will bring Patrol Utensils such as  Patila, Parat, Bucket, Kettle, Mug, Plate,  spoon, Dari, Gadget & Pioneering materials, Chart Paper, Costumes for Cultural Programme, Patrol Flag and materials related to the competitions. All materials related to competitions have to be brought by the participants.

 AWARD OF STANDARD: The Patrol will be awarded “A” and “B” standard if minimum 70% and 60%marks are secured respectively. Standard Certificates if achieved will be given on the last day of the camp. The following are the subjects for competition:
      1. Camp-Craft 2. First Aid  3. Patrol Pioneering 4. Mapping   5. Campfire 6.Backwoodsman Cooking 7. Flag Ceremony 8. Fire Rescue 9. B.P.Exercise/Yoga 10. Colour Party.

QUOTA:     SCOUTS: -     01 Patrol (08+1)         GUIDES: -      01 Patrol (08+1)

DESCRIPTION OF SUBJECT:
1.         Camp Craft: A team of 8 Scouts/Guides will participate. Following are the subjects to be adjudged i.e. Gadgets, Pits, Uniform, Cleanliness in tent and surroundings, layout, display of utensils and other materials.
2.         First Aid:            A team of 6 members will participate. The syllabus based on Ambulance man Badge both theoretical and practical will be adjudged.
 3.         Patrol Pioneering: A team of 8 Scouts/Guides will participate. Project will be announced by the judge on the spot. Gears are required to be brought by the team. No. materials will be supplied to the team from the campsite.

4.            Mapping: A team of 6 members will participate. Study of Compass, finding the bearings, scale, conventional signs, Grid Reference, Finding North, Map reading and map marking will be adjudged.

5.            Campfire: A team of 8 Scouts/Guides will participate in one team for duration of 5 minutes. Musical Instruments should be brought by the teams. Team work, Educational Values, Costumes and presentation will be adjudged.

6.         Flag Ceremony: A team of 8 members will participate and perform the Ceremony.

7.            Backwoods Man Cooking: A team of 4 members will participate. The team will prepare suitable dishes for lunch for two persons only without using utensils within the stipulated time. Materials for preparation and required provisions are to be brought by the team.
  
8.         Fire Rescue:            A team of 8 members will participate.

9.            B.P.Six/Yoga:             A team of 8 members will participate.

10.       Colour Party:    A team of 5 members will participate.

APPLICATION: The list of participating candidates should reach to the undersigned at National
                              Headquarters, New Delhi on or before 15th December, 2012.

make the camp a grand success and achieve its purpose.
