More” from 29th June to 06th July
2013 at Tokyo, Japan.

Dear Sir/Madam,
It
gives us great pleasure to send this official invitation for the
11th Asia Pacific Regional Conference to be held at the
National Olympics Memorial Youth Centre (NYC), Tokyo, Japan from 29th June
to 06th July 2013.
Other details of the Event are as follows:
Dates of the Conference:- Saturday 29th June 2013 to Saturday 06th July
2013.
Theme: “Believe, Belong, Be More”
This year’s theme affirms our belief that we must first
embrace our Vision and Mission in order to make real change. Hence, we must
first BELIEVE that what we are doing contributes to helping girls and young
women become the best that they can possibly be.
As Girl Guides/Girl Scouts, we BELONG to
a worldwide Movement and family that support each other in achieving our
collective goals towards the fulfillment of our Mission and Vision.
This strong bond of sisterhood allows us to BE
MORE for others, to willingly give a part of ourselves so others can
live better lives.
PARTICIPANTS (WHO CAN ATTEND): Delegates:- 02 and
Observers:- 04.
ADULT LEADERS: Having
experience of at least 05 years in the District/State Association and a
member of District/State Council, District/State Executive Committee or other
Sub-Committees and have update knowledge of the organization and have command
in English Speaking may apply.
YOUNG WOMEN (Age
between 18 to 30 years only): Should have completed Rashtrapati Guide/Ranger,
working with the Group for at least 03 years, have update knowledge of the
organization, active and have good command in English may apply.
VENUE & ACCOMODATION: The Conference venue is the National Olympics Memorial
Youth Centre (NYC) located in Shibuya, Tokyo. The formal conference will be
held in the Central Building where state-of-the-art facilities are easily
available. Accommodation will be in 2 separate buildings: Lodge A and Lodge
D.
There are limited rooms in each lodge, so please make your
selection in the Acceptance in Principle form.
CONFERENCE FEE: All accommodations will be at NYC. The cost of airport
transfers, meals, and half day tour is included is included in the conference
fees of USD470 or USD550 (depending on the choice of rooms)
The cost covers dinner on 29 June and ends with breakfast
on 6 July. Every room is single occupancy and it will not be possible to
share. Bed linen, pillow and blanket are provided in each room.
VISA: All
conference participants should ensure they have the necessary travel
documents i.e. valid passports, visas, travel insurance etc.
Airport Transfers: All
Conference participants will be met on arrival at the Narita International
Airport or Haneda International Airport by members from GSJ. Airport
transfers by GSJ are covered in the conference fees only on
the following dates: 27, 28 and 29 June for arrivals and 6 and 7 July for
departures. GSJ will send/pick up conference participants to NYC only.
Early Arrivals/Late Departures: Conference participants who arrive earlier can stay at NYC
at their own cost on 27 and 28 June and 6 July only. The cost is 3000 Yen per
person per night without meals. All participants must check out of NYC by 7
July as the rooms are no longer available to GSJ. Those arriving earlier or
later than the stipulated dates will have to make their own accommodation and
air transfer arrangements.
NYC is a busy and popular conference centre, therefore
rooms are limited and have to be reserved one year in advance. We seek your
cooperation to indicate your accommodation requirements especially for early
arrival/late departure by indicating the number of rooms required per MO.
HOME HOSPITALITY: Home
hospitality will be offered to conference participants after the conference.
The detail of the Home Hospitality is enclosed for information and choice.
Participants may fill the form as per their choice.
REGISTRATION: Participants are requested to fill the enclosed
registration form and after receiving the form to National Headquarters, New
Delhi, the same will be registered online.
EXPENDITURE: Fee: USD470 or USD550 (as per choice of Accommodation) Rs.
27,000/- INR (Approx.) Caution Money (non-refundable)

participated after the selection Rs. 3,000/=

Last
Date of Application:Now time is very short and the
last date of application submission to WAGGGS is 15th February
2013, so the names of the eligible candidates duly recommended and
forwarded by their State Association should reach to National Headquarters,
New Delhi on or before 31st January 2013.
Recommended names will be considered on “First Come First Serve Basis” as
only limited seats are allotted to our Country.
